Corporate responsibility is part of our business strategy, and our personal commitment to help others. We invest our time, money, and talents in the communities where we live and work.
Each year, every Nulty employee receives eight hours of paid time to do volunteer work at the non-profit organization of their choice. We have donated our time to the Salvation Army, Red Cross, Kalamazoo Nature Center, Portage Rotary, Habitat for Humanity, Back Pack Buddies, and MDA Lock-up; as well as many local schools and churches.
Nulty Insurance is a corporate sponsor of the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure. In 2009, forty-two Nulty employees, friends, and family members participated and raised funds in the fight against breast cancer. Much of the money is used to support the Pink Saturdays Program, which provides 1300 free mammograms to uninsured women in the eight counties in Southwest Michigan.
BB/BS is the oldest and largest youth mentoring organization in the United States. We are proud to participate in the annual fund-raising bowl-a-thon; and we are also a corporate sponsor of the annual benefit dinner.
Our walkers and runners participate in the annual Run for the Son, which raises funds for the Kalamazoo Deacons Conference. The Deacons Conference assists those in need of clothing, furniture, household items, personal care items, and emergency financial assistance.
